owners jared oakes, tiffany turner, and brady turner opened cafe akari in june of 2007 with a desire to do things differently. we wanted to have great wines and fantastic fare at reasonable prices that people weren't overly familiar with. we wanted the long beach peninsula to have a place where people could hang out, relax, gather with friends and have a good time. we wanted to offer a lighter fare menu that was fun, different, affordable, but tasted delicious.
at akari, we believe in quality. we believe that food should not only taste good, but should be unique, interesting and also good for you.
we hope you will give us a visit and find that our decor and design is hip and eclectic, but also comfortable, warm and inviting. we hope you will come to enjoy and savor our unique cuisine and beverages over some good conversation and good times.
